The Family Assistance Division administers programs funded by the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Block Grant designed to provide benefits and services to needy families with children so that children may be cared for in their own homes or in the homes of relatives.
These services also promote job preparation, work and marriage and the prevention of out of wedlock pregnancy.
Major services/benefits to eligible families include:
- Temporary Cash Assistance
- Work and Job Training Services
Eligibility:
For low income families with children under age 18, or age 19 if they are a full time student in a secondary school.

Needing cash assistance for me & my 5 granchildren I have custody of no child support only food stamps& Medicaid thank you
Have 7 kids, none of the father's are on the certificates and can't get child support because they are illegal immigrants... I'm a single mother and family members have been helping but I need tanf. What can I do...
